Add Azaleas to Your Garden for Spring Color

Add Azaleas to Your Garden for Spring Color

Now is a great time to pick up a few azaleas at the garden center. Especially when they're zooming into bloom and you can clearly see the amazing colors. We loved this combination of shades of pink in front with a POW of yellow in the back. This would be amazing as the back of a border with summer blooming perennials in front. In warmer zones, you can mix evergreen and deciduous azaleas, so there’s always something happening.

April 4 "add azaleas for color": Are the yellows also Azaleas? How many colors do Azaleas come in? I live in zone 6/7 when is the best time to buy and plant Azaleas? Where can I buy hardy azaleas and pick my color before the bloom? I live in area code 11935. Thanks Mike

Hmm, it's run through a spell check so that is surprising. I will double back and do a proof.

I am planting azaleas and have Georgia clay. Will mushroom compost and soil amendment be enough to get them established?
