The first few weeks of September are a special time in the garden. Summer’s star plants have wrapped it up, but the full fire of fall foliage has yet to come to on. In that magical little moment, fresh colors come on strong. Being lead by asters, grasses, burning bush, and a few early berrying plants that help to provide a stellar show.
Consider planting a few now so that next September you can have this kind of colorful show. (By the way, asters are beloved by native bees which are still on the wing, looking for late season food!)
