Favorite Plant: Harry Lauder's Walking Stick
Why It's My Favorite: This is probably one of my favorite plants because of it's unique branching habit and year round interest. I don't really get to use it that much because most homeowners' don't see it's beauty. I think that the "river birch"-esque flowers that it produces in the spring add to it's beauty. Now knowing that there is a red-leafed variety of this plant makes it even more appealing to me. Have yet to see one that is 8-10' feet because of it's slow-growing nature.
