Why It's My Favorite:
True to their lineage the Itoh Peonies portray the best characteristics of herbaceouos as well as tree peonies: long bloom, fragrance and sturdy branch structure. The Yellow variety, 'Bartzella', was a show stopper when recently used by The Potted Garden, in mass, at The Mansion In May, a Morris County Showhouse & Gardens. The Itoh Peonies were generously donated by Monrovia and managed through strong winds, nighlty low temperatures of 45 degrees in late April into early May and provided long bloom periods.
